We began the day with an assembly and the kids got magazine fundraising materials this weekend. Remember, if you sell just one magazine there are prizes involved!!! We came back to the "oven" (otherwise known as the classroom) and worked on the second part of the student interest survey. We also went over the syllabus quiz (which I didn't count for a grade). It is important to remember what is required in this class so there are no surprises.
As a special treat, the kids got lemonade, which I think they enjoyed. We are now out of cups, so if you can send any that would be great. If they carry a water bottle, it can be filled up at the cooler.
Students will need to have their composition book and a reading book with them on Tuesday. This is required!! If you are having trouble finding a composition book, email me and let me know. I realize Walmart is out of them, but they can be found at Staples, Walgreens, Kmart, Target, etc. The public library is open this weekend - not Monday - and you can also bring a book from home. I also have several in my room you can check out.
