Monday, October 13. 2008

You can sure tell it's Monday! The classes were very sleepy today!

I returned the test from Raymond's Run and went over the correct answers in class. The most commonly missed question revolved around what the climax, or turning point of the story was. This was the realization by Squeaky that there is more to life than running. She saw her brother running and figured out that he was more important than anything else. It was all about how Squeaky changed. Many students did not remember this point and therefore thought the race itself was the turning point. If they completed their plot summary in class, they should have had the right answer to study. (If they were paying attention!) There were 30 points possible, which will be converted to a percentage score on STI.

We also completed a practice sheet on run-on sentences and using prefixes to determine word meaning. They were given class time to get his finished, but they have until tomorrow to get it in.

*****DON'T FORGET TOMORROW IS PICTURE DAY! FIX YOUR HAIR! WEAR GREAT COLORS! PRACTICE YOUR SMILE!!!!!*******
