Sorry about missing the blog yesterday! I had to leave as soon as school was out to get my son to the doctor - you know how it is! Anyway, we listened to most of The Ransom of Red Chief by O. Henry and worked on a prediciton sheet as we listened. I also collected reading logs and we had Book Talk at the end of the day!
Today we listened to the rest of The Ransom of Red Chief and completed the prediction sheet and also worked on a conflict/irony activity and vocabulary sheet. These were to be finished and turned in at the end of class. If it was not turned in it is homework!
We surprised the kids who had NO zeros with a "recess" today during intervention time. This was a reward for those students who are being conscientious about getting their assignments in. The time period we looked at was the three weeks between Sept. 15 and Oct. 2. Congratulations for your hard work!!! If you didn't get to participate in the fun activity we will do one the next time we have a grade check! Keep ahead of your assignments before they get ahead of you!
Just a heads up - we are planning a field trip on October 23! Look for more information soon!
