Monday, March 2

Tomorrow is an early release day ! Don't forget! We also get to eat in our new cafeteria!!! It will take us awhile to get there, but it will be worth it!

Boxer Drive Now!
CMS will be collecting boys and men's boxers for the SPS Clothing Bank March 2-13. Boxers are in demand and there is a shortage of them at the Clothing Bank. Please have your student bring NEW packaged boxers to their first period class the first two weeks in March. The 7th and 8th grade class that donates the most pairs of boxers will win donuts for their classroom on Friday March 20th. Please note that boxers will be counted per pair, for example one pkg of six will be counted as six pairs. Your donations are encouraged and appreciated.

Clothing Bank Volunteer Date
The next and final date this school year for Cherokee volunteers at the Clothing Bank is Wednesday April 22nd. Please stop on by and help out any time from 9:00-3:00. The Clothing Bank is located behind Bailey Alternative School at 501 W. Central Avenue. For directions or more information, please call Lynn Camerer at 889-2426 or Laura Carpenter 987-3438
We learned about colons and semicolons today through a brief powerpoint. We then completed three practice pages which we will grade together in class tomorrow. I also passed out grade checks and had students highlight any missing work. Those with two or more zeros had to call home and may have an after school detention. Remember, the work HAS to be done. It's up to you if you do it for credit or not. Work that is past due one week, or response logs not turned in at the beginning of class do not receive credit; however, you are still required to do the work. If it wasn't important, I wouldn't have assigned it. Most of you are doing a great job of keeping up with your work! Good job!!
A Message From Dr. Pearce:
