We have decided to postpone the field trip until Monday because of predicted weather conditions. Please make sure you are ready Monday with your lunch and jacket!!

We took a spelling test over frequently misused and misspelled words. Students were amazed at how even the easy words can trip them up. Beginning next week, spelling will count in reading logs. By this, I mean that words like because, until, does, etc. will be expected to be spelled correctly. We will also be studying spelling rules each week.

Reading logs for next week will NOT include a response, just the 50 pages read. You will get the next set of questions for the quarter next week.

We have spent quite a bit of time this week finding and recording missing work. The following reflects the 5 classes and the amount of work that is missing. Please make sure you are getting assignments in ON TIME!!!!

First period -- 16 out of 31 students have missing work. There are 51 missing assignments.
Second period -- 15 out of 30 students have missing work. There are 83 missing assignments.
Third period -- 18 out of 30 students have missing work. There are 57 missing assignments.
Fourth period -- 13 out of 26 students have missing work. There are 44 missing assignments.
Sixth period -- 11 out of 18 students have missing work. There are 28 missing assignments.

We have had 35 graded assignments this quarter. Many of these are done in class. Stay on top of your work!!!
