Kudos to Mrs. Butler for checking out Book Talk books to us, with our volunteer, Mrs. Beadle, without a library workstation!!! What a task! All the kids now have their Book Talk book for the quarter. This book needs to be read by October 8! Mark it on your planner! If there are any parents who would like to volunteer to be a Book Talk leader you may contact Mrs. Butler here at school. There will be a meeting this Thursday, but you will need to check with her for the details.
Homeroom students (8th period only) are bringing home the handbook quiz which needs to be signed and returned ASAP.
I collected all the corrected papers from p. R16 and will return them tomorrow. We will also be filling out our response logs in our composition books in class tomorrow. Remember, the ONLY thing you should have completed is reading your 50 pages and putting the Title, Author, and pages read on page 7 of your composition book. No summaries, no sticky notes, no responses - we'll do the first of these together in class before you start doing them on your own.
