Mr. K. was testing students in the computer lab so some students were late to class. Therefore,we are a little behind....again. We took a pretest on parts of speech which we will finish in class tomorrow. We also talked about plot and conflict. Response logs are due tomorrow and are to be 10 sentences about the conflict in the book they are reading. Students are to identify the conflict, whether it is internal or external, and describe the conflict. How is the character handling the problem? What are some other options they could try? How would you handle the same situation? Is the author creating an interesting plot by choosing this particular conflict? Read p. 24 - 25 in your literature book to get more help on that.
Open House is this Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Once again there will be shuttles to take you back and forth from South Gate Baptist Church to the school due to the limited amount of parking. Hope to see you there!
